Mogadishu (SD) – The Somali Ministry of Health today announced a number of new cases of Coronavirus registered in the last 24 hours, in Somalia.
The Minister has confirmed in the briefings, that in the last 24 hours 79 new cases of COVID-19 have been diagnosed.
38 new cases were found in Benadir Region, 22 cases were diagnosed in Jubbaland, 11 cases were confirmed in South West Administration, and eight in Puntland.
The minister urged the public to exercise greater care as the virus continues to spread in the community and special attention should be given to the elderly and people living with chronic diseases.
The total number of cases of Coronavirus in Somalia has reached 835 cases, of whom 75 have recovered, while 38 have died.
