Somali leaders pray Eid al Adha with the public

ANKRA (SD)-The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Mr. Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, who is on a working visit to Turkey, performed Eid al-Adha prayers at a mosque in Ankara alongside Turkish Vice President Mr. Cevdet Yılmaz and some members of the Muslim community in Turkey.

The President emphasized the significance of the blessed days of Eid al-Adha and encouraged Somalis everywhere to forgive, support one another, and work towards the common good, with a focus on ensuring security.

The Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia, Mr. Hamza Abdi Barre, performed the Eid al-Adha prayers with hundreds of Somali citizens at the Islamic Alliance Mosque in Mogadishu.

The Prime Minister was joined in prayer by officials including the Speaker of the House of the People, ministers, MPs, officers, and other dignitaries.

The President of Puntland, Mr. Said Abdullahi Deni, along with the Vice President, performed the Eid al-Adha prayers with the residents of the capital at Mire Aware Stadium.

The event was also attended by members of the Puntland Government, Nugal regional administration, Garowe district officials, security officers, traditional leaders, and various sections of the capital’s community.

The President of Somaliland, Muse Bihi Abdi, has joined the people in the capital  Hargeisa to pray Eid al Adha.

The President and members of the Cabinet of Ministers prayed with the public at the Great Jama Masjid in Hargeisa and gave a speech to the public.

He congratulated the Islamic community in general and the Somalilanders in particular on the occasion of the joyous Eid and wished God to bless them with prosperity and peace.
