Houthis sink cargo ship off the coast of Djibouti

DJIBOUTI (SD)-The cargo ship M/V Verbena, which Ukraine owns, has reportedly sunk off the coast of Djibouti.

The crew was evacuated after the Houthis in Yemen hit the ship with two ballistic missiles.

This incident marks the second time the Houthis have caused significant damage to a ship, following a similar attack on the M/V Tutor, which flies the flags of Liberia and Greece, necessitating the evacuation of its crew as well.

The Houthis appear to have increased their missile capabilities. Since November, they have targeted and hit two ships simultaneously, making this the third ship sunk by Houthi missiles during their operations.
