VALLETTA (SD) – A Somali man has been admitted at a hospital in Paola town of Malta after he sustained severe injuries following altercation with another man, police confirmed.
In a statement, police in Malta confirmed the victim whose names has not yet been disclosed had suffered grievous injuries on Monday 26 July after he fought with another man.
From preliminary police investigations, it results that the man had had an argument with another man at Triq tal-Borġ, Paola.
Police said a pointed instrument was used in the assault.
Medical assistance was requested by the police and the man was admitted to Mater Dei hospital.
Police also confirmed that they detained the man reportedly engaged in fighting with the victim.
