Somali mercenary caught fighting in Ukraine

KIEV (SD) -News from Ukraine indicates that their forces have captured a group of foreign mercenaries, including a Somali man, involved in the conflict against Russian forces in Ukraine.

The Ukrainian media reports that Ukrainian troops apprehended a group of foreign mercenaries, among them a man identified as Mohamed Adiila, in the city of Maryinka in the Donetsk region.

The Somali man detained in the Ukrainian conflict was described as having no military experience and was considered to have joined the ranks of Russian forces for economic reasons.

It is noted that he and others were recently incorporated into the Russian military to bolster their efforts in the conflict
It’s not clear whether the Somali man joined the Russian forces voluntarily or not, Russia is said to have lured unsuspecting migrants into military service in Ukraine.
