Somali national reportedly arrested for UK MP murder

London (SD) – A Somali man is reportedly arrested for the killing of MP David Amess of the Conservative Party in the UK.

According to some British newspapers, the killer whose name is not revealed, is said to be 25 years old.

Sir David Amess was in the middle of a meeting with his constituency in Leigh-On-Sea, about 65 km from London, when a suspected Somali man attacked him.

“David was a man who believed passionately in this country and in its future and we have lost today a fine public servant and a much loved friend and colleague,” said Boris Johnson.

Doctors frantically tried for two hours to save 69-year-old father, but later died about injuries.

Ben-Julian Harrington, the Chief of Police said they are investigating that this incident is in connection with a terrorist act.

“It will be for investigators to determine whether or not this may have been a terrorist incident. As always they will keep an open mind,” he said.
