Mogadishu December 06, 2022 (SD) – The President of Somalia, Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, gave a televised speech that talked about recent battles between the government alongside regional forces against Al Shabaab.

The president touted that the army successfully took control of Aden Yabal district in their fight against Al Shabaab.

President Hassan Sheikh accused Al-Shabaab fighters of displacement and looting in Aden Yabal, while he praised the heads of the administrations of Jubaland and South West, who are currently preparing for operations against Al-Shabaab in their regions.

In his televised speech, the President advised the Somali people to be more resilient during the operations against the militants.
