Mogadishu October 29.2022 (SD) – Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud visited the Zoobe intersection in the capital and observed the magnitude of the severe destruction caused by today’s explosions.

Speaking to the media at the scene of the explosions, the president said that 100 people died in the explosions at the Zoobe intersection, while around 300 others were injured.

“Our massacred civilians included mothers with their children on their laps, fathers who were seeking medical treatment, students on their way to study, Businessmen struggling to provide for their families, teachers, and doctors who were serving their people. What reason could the person who massacred them have, or the religion and humanity he professes to” said President Hassan Mohamud.

The president called on all Somali people to help those hurt in the explosions.

The president also prayed to Allah in granting all the citizens who died in the explosions to Jannatul Firdowsa and to heal those injured.
