MOGADISHU (SD) -President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, visited Erdogan Hospital in the city of Mogadishu today, where some of the victims of the SYL hotel bombing are being treated.

President Hassan Sheikh met with officials and members of the public at the hospital, who were affected by the attack carried out by Al-Shabaab militants yesterday at the SYL hotel in Mogadishu.

The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia personally attended to the injured, praying for their speedy recovery.

President Hassan Sheikh later visited the headquarters of the National Intelligence and Security Agency (NISA), where he received detailed briefings on the Al-Shabaab attack on the SYL hotel.

A total of 27 individuals, including the PM Spokesperson, MPs, officials, soldiers, and civilians, were injured in yesterday’s attack on the SYL hotel, located near the Presidential Palace in Somalia.
