Mogadishu (SD) – More than a dozen candidates for the presidency of the Federal Republic of Somalia will hold a three-day conference November 21-23, 2020 in Mogadishu, the capital of Somalia.
The conference is to help the candidates focus to take a united stand on the country’s elections.
Some candidates who arrived in Mogadishu today have expressed concern over the conduct of the election with all the disagreements among members of the electoral commissions.
The federal government continues to insist that the members of the electoral commissions are legitimate while the candidates are allegedly selected from the security forces and the presidential palace.
The prime minister and his deputy, as well as the information minister, insist the election commissions were legitimate and would not be changed
