Beled Hawo (SD) – A Somali military court has today sentenced a member of the National Security and Intelligence Service (NSIS) to death for killing two teenagers at a football stadium in Balad Hawo.

The executed soldier, identified as NISA soldier Mohamed Ali Hussein, killed two young soccer players last month, fled and was captured by NISA forces.

Relatives of the two slain young men have demanded the execution of the NISA soldier, and reports say relatives have refused to take compensation from the killer’s relatives.

The court ruling comes at a time when the country’s military has killed innocent youths in recent days

Somalia’s military court has recently sentenced a number of government soldiers to death, who have deliberately killed fellow soldiers and other civilians.
