Kismayo (SD) – Reports from Kismayo town in the lower Juba region confirm that a large explosion has occurred at Fanole district.

The bomb struck a two-storey building in Kismayo owned by a famous businessman named Abdullahi Gari.

No group has yet claimed responsibility for the blast, but Jubaland security forces operating in the port city of Kismayo have cordoned off the area.

Al-Shabaab militants are known to targets businesses in the southern part of the country, the owner of the targeted house is yet to comment on today’s incident.
