MOGADISHU (SD) -The Minister of Defense of the Federal Government of Somalia, Abdulkadir Mohamed Nur, held a meeting in Mogadishu with the Chinese Ambassador to Somalia, FEI Shengchao.

During the meeting, the Somali Minister of Defense and the Chinese Ambassador discussed enhancing cooperation between Somalia and China, particularly in security and combating terrorism, as stated by the government media.

The Minister expressed gratitude for the support and assistance provided by the Chinese government to Somalia, and he praised the friendly relations between the two countries.

The Chinese Ambassador to Somalia, Mr. FEI Shengchao, stated that Somalia is a valued friend of China, and he commended the efforts of the Somali government in maintaining security and consolidating the state-building process.
