Somalia and Kenya sign comprehensive cooperation agreements

NAIROBI (SD) -The governments of Somalia and Kenya have signed comprehensive cooperation agreements covering various sectors in Nairobi, the capital of Kenya. These agreements encompass Diplomatic Affairs, Security, Economy, Trade, Education, and Social Services.

Somalia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ahmed Macallin Fiqi, signed the agreement on behalf of Somalia, while Kenya’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Musalia Mudavadi, signed on behalf of Kenya. These bilateral agreements are expected to strengthen cooperation and mutual understanding between Somalia and Kenya.

Additionally, the Ministers of Education, Culture, and Higher Education, Farah Sheikh Abdulkadir from Somalia and Ezekiel Machogu from Kenya have also signed the Education Cooperation Agreement, focusing on collaboration in Education, Training, and Research, aiming to enhance educational cooperation between the two nations.

These agreements are part of the visit of the Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia, Hamza Abdi Barre, currently in Kenya, aimed at enhancing bilateral relations and advancing cooperation in various sectors.
