EL-BARAF (SD)-Additional reports are emerging about a fierce battle that took place today between two clan militias in areas under the jurisdiction of El-baraf district in the Middle Shabelle region.

The fighting, which had been ongoing for the past two days, intensified significantly today, resulting in casualties including both deaths and injuries, according to eyewitnesses who spoke to media.

Hassan Mohamed Tifow, one of the elders from one of the warring clans, stated that their land was invaded, and no solution other than fighting could be found.

He mentioned that previous meetings and agreements aimed at resolving the conflict between the two clans had failed, and now they feel compelled to defend their land.

The Hir-Shabelle administration has yet to comment on the conflict, although it is expected that a delegation will soon be sent to the areas affected by the fighting in the Middle Shabelle region.
