Mogadishu (SD) – The Somali government’s Ministry of Health has today announced the number of cases of coronavirus infections in the last 24 hours in the country.

There were 1,807 tests, 266 positive cases with Benadir region having the highest number of cases with 141 people testing positive.

Puntland had 88 positive COVID-19 cases, while 25 cases were reported in Somaliland, with 8 people dying of the virus within 24 hours.

The health ministry confirmed the total number of cases is 7,257, including 3,808 recovered and 239 deaths.
