Mogadishu (SD) – The Ministry of Health of the Federal Government of Somalia, confirmed the largest number of positive COVID-19 cases in the country within the last 24 hours.

According to the ministry’s report last night, in the last 24 hours, 73 patients with Coronavirus have been registered, making it the highest number ever reported by the Ministry of Health.

51 of the 73 patients diagnosed were male, while 22 were female, making the total number of people who have Coronavirus 237, according to the ministry.

Also, the Department’s report states that in the past 24 hours one person recovered from COVID-19, while another person died.

The virus is spreading in the country like a wildfire due to poor social awareness coupled with lack of medical infrastructure in Somalia.
