Somalia: COVID-19 Cases reach 1,054

Mogadishu (SD) – The Ministry of Health of the Federal Government of Somalia in its daily Coronavirus briefing confirmed 57 new COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours, 3 patients died and 8 others recovered.

The Minister of Health and Social Welfare of the Federal Government of Somalia, Ms. Fawzia Abikar Nur also confirmed that new cases have been registered in Benadir region 23 Somaliland 17 and Puntland 17.

Of the new 57 patients, 41 were male and 16 were female. The number of COVID-19 cases recorded in the country has reached 1,054 cases, 51 patients have died while 118 people have recovered.

Dr. Fawzia Abikar Nur called on all Somalis to take medical advice and implement measures to control COVID-19, in order to successfully curb the spread of the virus.
