MOGADISHU (SD) -Prime Minister of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Hamza Abdi Barre, has unveiled the Social Welfare System of the Unified Social Registry, aimed at reducing poverty and ensuring food security, addressing issues such as droughts, floods, and famines.
The Prime Minister emphasized the significance of the system in the country’s current context, describing it as an integral part of the national government’s policy to achieve societal progress and stability, with a focus on enhancing security, economic development, and the well-being of the Somali people.
Hamza called on all international and national organizations involved in humanitarian efforts to utilize the Unified Social Registry of the Government to streamline aid, avoid duplication, and ensure that assistance reaches those in need promptly.
This approach is expected to foster public confidence in the government and contribute to the establishment of a stable and prosperous state.
