Somalia: High school test results announced, Jubaland scores highest

Mogadishu (SD) – The Ministry of Education and Higher Learning announced the results of the public high school students test participated by more than 34-thousand students in south-west, Hirshabelle, and Galmudug regions.

A ceremony announcing the results of the exam, was attended by officials from the Ministry of Education and was held at the Academy of Arts and Sciences in Mogadishu.

The Jubaland administration has welcomed the results of the government examinations for high school graduates for the 2019/2020 school year announced by the Somali Government’s Ministry of Education.

“First of all, I would like to thank the Ministry of Education of the Federal Government for its hard work and dedication and for staying up many nights. Secondly, I would like to thank all Somali students who took the exam in the 2019/20 school year,” said Director Ahmed. Farah Ali Aweys.

Ahmed Farah Ali Aweys, director of higher education and technology at the Jubaland administration’s Ministry of Education, encouraged students to redouble their efforts this year.

The national high school exams held in May every year have been delayed this year due to restrictions on COVID-19.
