MOGADISHU (SD) -The Ministry of Fisheries and Blue Economy of the Federal Government of Somalia has issued a stern warning to all vessels and foreign companies involved in the exploitation of Somalia’s marine resources.
This warning emphasizes the enforcement of the Regulation and Development of Somali Maritime Law, which outlines the approved methods of fisheries according to the law.
The Ministry has strongly stated that any methods or practices contrary to the law will not be tolerated, and if such actions occur, they may result in significant legal consequences.
The Ministry has urged all parties affected by this warning to fulfill their responsibilities to ensure the preservation of marine resources and to benefit from them in a sustainable and mutually beneficial manner.
