RIYADH (SD) – The governments of Somalia and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia have jointly issued a comprehensive press release following the visit and meeting between the President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Mr. Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, and the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, Prince Mohammed Bin Salman.

Both leaders have reviewed the relationship between the two countries and discussed ways to enhance it, with the meeting focusing on the overall situation in the region and the world.

Both sides emphasized the importance of fostering cooperation between the two brotherly nations to promote economic growth.

The Saudi Kingdom affirmed its support for the unity of the Federal Republic of Somalia and its territorial integrity.

Somalia and Saudi Arabia reaffirmed their commitment to the decision of the Arab League Summit held on 1/17/2024, supporting the security, stability, unity, sovereignty, and territorial integrity of Somalia.

President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome extended to him and his delegation by King Salman Bin Abdulaziz and Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman.

Conversely, Prince Mohammed Bin Salman expressed his strong support for the President of the Republic and wished peace, development, and prosperity for the Somali People.
