Mogadishu (SD) – Somalia’s Federal Electoral Commission issued a statement on the state of the elections and the ever changing election timetable.

The committee announced that November 16 parliamentary elections will officially begin and end on December 24, 2021.

Earlier, parliamentary elections were scheduled to starts on October 1 and to concluded on November 20, 2021.

The statement from the Federal Electoral Commission called on State leaders to give their full support to the regional electoral commissions and to facilitate their work.

The Federal Electoral Commission also said in a statement that it would immediately deploy the materials to all the cities where the elections will take place.
