Mogadishu (SD) – The Somali National Party Forum praised the agreements reached in the political disputes in Galmudug and Jubaland regions in Somalia.

The Forum’s Communiqué congratulated Galmudug President Ahmed Abdi Kariye Qor-qor and former Galmudug President Ahmed Duale Guelleh Haf, who ended their dispute over the February 2020 election in Galmudug.

The Forum’s Communiqué also praised the agreement reached between Jubaland President Ahmed Mohamed Islam and the opposition leaders, ending the controversy of the August 2019 Jubbaland state re-election of Ahmed Madobe.
In addition, the Forum called on the Federal Government of Somalia to emulate the regional reconciliation efforts in the country and to reconcile with the member states.

The Somali Federal Government dismissed the Jubaland political agreement and called it irrelevant, Villa Somalia didn’t acknowledge the Galmudug’s recent political reconciliation.
