RIYADH (SD)-The Minister of Defense of Somalia, Abdikadir Mohamed Nur, attended the second meeting of the Defense Ministers of the Islamic Military Counter Terrorism Coalition (IMCTC) in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Minister Abduqadir Mohamed Nur provided an update on the successes achieved by the Somali government in the fight against terrorism and the ongoing operations against Al-Shabaab militants, who pose a significant threat to the security of Somalia.
Additionally, the Minister shared insights on the challenges facing the Horn of Africa and the Red Sea region, particularly highlighting Ethiopia’s actions that violate international laws and undermine the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Federal Republic of Somalia.
The conference also featured speeches by Defense Ministers from the member countries of the IMCTC, focusing on addressing the challenges of terrorism and enhancing collaboration among Islamic nations in military counter-terrorism efforts.
