KAMPALA (SD) -The Commander of the Somali National Army, Brigadier General Ibrahim Sheikh Muxudin, currently in Uganda, met with the Ugandan Military Chief, Gen. Wilson Mbadi.
Both commanders discussed cooperation and strengthening the partnership between the two countries, with the Ugandan government pledging to provide military support to Somalia in the fight against Al-Shabaab militants.
Brigadier General Ibrahim Sheikh Muxudin and Gen. Wilson Mbadi mutually agreed to enhance joint operations targeting Al-Shabaab, with the Ugandan government ready to assist and support the Somali armed forces.
Additionally, the Somali National Army Commander visited the Ugandan National Defense College, where he was warmly received and held discussions with the college’s military officials.
