Mogadishu (SD) – Acting Prime Minister Mahdi Mohamed Guled Khadar has condemned the killing of civilians in Rage-Elle in Middle Shabelle region.

“I am deeply saddened by the killing of clerics in Rage Elle, Middle Shabelle region. I send my deepest condolences to the families of those who lost their loved ones. The perpetrators will be brought to justice. said the PM on his Facebook page.

Six people, five of them clerics, were killed this morning in Rage Elle, and one person was injured in the attack, he is Mogadishu for treatment.

The attack was carried out by unidentified gunmen who targeted the clerics while they were reciting Quran, according to eyewitnesses.

Hirshabelle officials and military officials are heading to the affected area to investigate and follow up on the perpetrators.
