Mogadishu (SD) – The Acting Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia Mahdi Mohamed Guled, today met with senior officials from the Ministry of Finance and economic experts.

During the meeting, the officials discussed good governance and ways to improve the country’s financial management system.

“Today I listen to a report from the relevant ministers and experts on the state of economic reform in the country. We are working hard to strengthen our economy, improve the national financial management system and good governance. We are committed to ensuring the economic and financial success of our country. said Mahdi Mohamed Guled.

The officials also discussed Preparations for an upcoming meeting between the government and the IMF for an ongoing performance review of the government to determine how to comply with the conditions of the country’s loan waivers.

All government ministries and agencies involved on the road map to economic development have been instructed to play their perspective roles in fulfilling the country’s debt forgiveness requirements.
