MOGADISHU (SD) -Prime Minister of Somalia, Hamza Abdi Barre, officially opened the state-level football tournament at Mogadishu Stadium this afternoon.

The Prime Minister emphasized the significance of fostering unity, peace, and solidarity among the Somali people through sports. He underscored the importance of maintaining security and stability in the capital, Mogadishu, as demonstrated by the start of this tournament.

PM Hamza Abdi Barre highlighted the critical role of ensuring the safety of the youth, as the tournament signifies the government’s efforts in consolidating the security of the capital, promoting peace, and showcasing the commitment of the government to secure the capital, Mogadishu.

The inauguration of the state and Banadir regional administrations’ football tournament was attended by the Prime Minister, members of the Cabinet, Banadir Regional Administration officials, and sports representatives at both federal and regional levels.
