Mogadishu (SD) – The relationship between the Federal Government of Somalia and AMISOM, the African Union Commission (AUC), is facing tensions over plans to transform the AMISOM mission into a joint UN-African Union force.

The Somali Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement that following a decision by the African Union Security Council to call for such an operation on October 7th, invited a delegation from the African Union Commission (AUC) and AMISOM to Mogadishu.
