MOGADISHU (SD) -The Governor of Banadir Region and Mayor of Mogadishu, Mr. Yusuf Hussein Jimale (Madaale), has launched a Technical Plan Program aimed at finding solutions for the displaced persons residing in Banadir Region. This initiative is a collaborative effort between the Banadir Regional Administration, the UN office in Somalia, and the International Organization for Migration (IOM).

The event was attended by the Deputy Governor for Social Affairs of Banadir Region, the Deputy UN Representative for Somalia and Humanitarian Coordinator Mr. George Conway, representatives from IOM, and technical members from the Ministry of Planning of the Federal Government of Somalia. During the event, a memorandum of understanding was signed to support the Durable Solutions Unit (DSU) of the Banadir Regional Administration.

Speaking at the meeting, the Governor of Banadir Region and the Mayor of Mogadishu emphasized their commitment to finding durable solutions for the displaced persons in Banadir Region. He underlined the importance of ensuring access to basic rights such as education, healthcare, housing, and job creation.
