Somalia, UNSOS, ATMIS sign a security agreement

NY (SD) -Minister of Defense of Somalia, Abdikadir Mohamed Nur Jama, who is part of the presidential delegation, signed a trilateral agreement with SFG, UNSOS, and ATMIS in New York. The agreement is aimed at supporting the capabilities of the Somali National Army.

President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, chaired the Somalia Security Conference at the United Nations Headquarters in New York yesterday, emphasizing the importance of security in the region for the country’s governance.

The conference, attended by representatives from 26 countries, the United Nations, the Arab League, the European Union, and the African Union, showcased Somalia’s security plans, including the development of the military, stabilizing regional administrations, the significance of international security cooperation, and the withdrawal of ATMIS forces and political stabilization of Somalia.
