Mogadishu December 28, 2022 (SD) – Members of both Houses of the Federal Parliament of Somalia have today approved the federal government’s 2023 budget.

The total budget for this year has reached more than $973 million with increases for the healthcare, education, and security sectors.

The 2023 budget is focused on raising domestic revenue, which is now expected to be higher than in previous years.

There is no financial accountability in Somalia which has made the country the most corrupt in the world
