MOGADISHU (SD) – The counting of votes in the third round of the Somali presidential election has just begun at a Aviation Tent in Mogadishu.

In the final round, President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo and former Hassan Sheikh Mohamud contested for the top.

The Speaker of the House of the People confirmed that there were 329 members of the House of the People and the Upper House are voting.

Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo and Hassan Sheikh Mohamud are vying for the presidency, with Hassan Sheikh receiving 110 votes and Farmajo each receiving 83 votes in the previous round.

Hassan Sheikh Mohamud is expected to be the next Somalia President.
