Hargeisa (SD) – The Somaliland Prosecutor’s Office has released new allegations against journalist and a humanitarian worker, Abdimalik Muse Coldon, according to media reports.
Coldon was arrested on 23/08/2021, allegations of subversion and treason, dissemination of false information and insulting the Somaliland Legislature.
A letter from the Office of the Prosecutor also said Oldon had insulted Abaarso Schools, Barwaqo University and students, who he said were not teaching good morals and Islamic law, according to the statement.
“You have spread propaganda about the destruction of the nation by saying that Abaarso and Barwaaqo University have been brought to the world’s most corrupt society and do what human beings and animals are ashamed of, which you said were same sex practises, casting doubt on education in Somaliland.” Prosecutor’s Office said.
Much of the evidence for Oldon’s allegations has been copied from his Social Media accounts.
“We request the court to set a date and time for the hearing and issue further action in this case,” the statement said.
