HARGEISA (SD) -The Senate and House of Representatives of Somaliland have decided how to approve the electoral law of Act No. 91.

They agreed that the Senate should send the law back to President Bihi and that President Bihi should send it back to the House of Representatives, restarting the process all over. they also agreed that both houses should stay in session during this process

The outgoing President of Somaliland, Muse Bihi Abdi, recently returned the amended electoral law to the Somaliland Senate after the two councils disagreed on some points.

The opposition parties in Somaliland, have also recommended that the two legislative bodies first agree on the electoral law.

The president said that he would sign the law and implement it after the councils agree on it and the constitution is reviewed.
