Somaliland Congratulates Barbados as becomes Independent, vows to seek recognition

Hargeisa (SD) – The Somaliland government congratulates Barbados’s decision to remove the British Queen as its head of state, after 55 years of being an independent country.

Barbados became independent after the UK parliament passed the Barbados Independence Act in 1966 . The country became the 4th English-speaking country in the Caribbean. The first celebration of independence featured an elaborate parade, and for the first time the national flag was raised, and the national anthem was played.

In a released statement, Somaliland government said it will not be stop until the international community full recognizes them.
