Hargeisa (SD) – Somaliland reports that in the past three days 110 people tested for Coronavirus, 37 of whom tested positive for Covid19, they were all in the city of Hargeisa.

It is the highest number of recorded positive cases in Somaliland since testing became more available, according to the Somaliland health minister.

The Somaliland health authorities didn’t give details of the sudden spike in invections. The spike seems to coincide with the end of Ramadan, a season known for its elevated shopping activities.

Three people, one of whom is a 24 year old died of the virus. The total number of deaths is now at 14.

The number of infected in the country also reached 158 people.
