Nairobi (SD) – Somaliland’s deputy ambassador to Kenya talked about an investment meeting that took place there this week, according a released statement.
“The Ministry of Investment of the Republic of Somaliland and the Embassy of Somaliland in Kenya hosted a joint meeting in the Kenyan capital of Nairobi.” Said the statement.
A number of Somali businessmen who have made significant investments in East Africa have been invited to the meeting.
The Minister of Investment and Development of the Republic of Somaliland shared investment opportunities in Somaliland and investment facilitation infrastructure including, potential resources, in security, marine resources, the large number of educated youth and government policies designed to attract investment.
The Somali business community attending the conference praised the meeting and expressed their appreciation for the importance of the meeting and the investment information they have learned, according to the statement.
Somaliland officials have held a number of such meetings in Kenya in the past, previously inviting foreign businessmen.
