Lasanod (SD) – Somaliland’s Minister of Information, Culture and Awareness, Saleban Yusuf Ali Koore, who currently visiting Las Anod, the regional capital of SOOL, confirmed to local journalists working for the state media that he has been diagnosed with COVID19.

Minister Koore confirmed he was in good health, but emphasised the need for everyone to follow all medical advices given to the public in order to prevent the spread of COVID 19, adding that the virus was still present in the country and that caution was needed.

Minister Kore’s statement comes as he was attending a reconciliation conference in Sool region, with a large participation from the region’s community.

It’s not clear how, when and where the minister got infected or if spread the virus to other attendees.

This is not the first time that a minister in Muse Bihi’s government has contracted COVID19, it has has already affected Somaliland’s Minister of Posts and Telecommunications and the country’s minister of Investment.
