Hargeisa (SD) – Somaliland Information Minister Saleban Yusuf Ali Koore expressed dismay at President Farmajo’s recent statement about Somaliland’s youth.
The minister said that President Farmajo has no say on Somaliland’s affairs, suggesting that he address the needs of the people of Somalia.
“I am deeply saddened that the outgoing president, who is surrounded by African tanks, has told people that there is an uprising going on in Somaliland,” said Minister Saleban Ali Koore.
Minister Koore said that the international community has recognized the existence of the people of Somaliland and pointed out that they have achieved a lot.
“The world understands that the people of Somaliland are a nation that guarantees democracy and existence, ”said Kore.
Minister Saleban Ali Koore said President Farmajo’s remarks would not hurt Somaliland. “I don’t think Farmajo’s words will hurt the people of Somaliland,” he said.
Minister Koore accused Farmajo of being hostile to the people of Somaliland since he was elected President of Somalia.
“The people of Somaliland are fully aware until the day the 100 Men in room elected him he directed nothing but venom and hostility towards Somaliland. “said Information Minister Suleiman Ali Kore.
Minister Kore’s statement came after President Farmajo at the June 26 celebrations said that a unity uprising was taking place in Somaliland.
