Hargeisa (SD) – The National Certificate Examinations for 8th and 4th grade middle and high schools started today in Somaliland.

The President of Somaliland, Muse Bihi, has sent a message of congratulations to all Somaliland students who sat for the National Certificate Examination today.

“I send my congratulations and prayers to all the students who are taking the 8th grade middle school and 4th grade high school examinations in the Republic of Somaliland.” Said president Bihi.

Adding “Also Congratulations to all the parents and teachers and the entire national education community, who worked hard for these students to succeed.”.

In Somaliland, 32,849 students, including 21,148 primary school students and 11,701 high school students, sat for the Certificate Examination this morning.

Somaliland’s deputy education minister said the Exams would be administered in all areas of Somaliland, including the eastern Sanaag region, which Somalia’ regional state Puntland had previously objected to.
