HARGEISA (SD) – The two opposition parties in Somaliland, UCID and WADDANI, today held an information meeting with the representative of the Finnish government in charge of peace and mediation in the Horn of Africa.

The National opposition parties briefed the envoy about the general situation in the country, the obstacles in the electoral dispute between the government and the opposition parties.

The head of the UCID party Faysal Ali Warabe and the Waddani presidential candidate Abdirahman Irro have the Finnish citizenship.

Finally, the Finish delegation shared with the opposition parties the view of the Government of Finland on the political issues in the Republic of Somaliland.
