Hargeisa (SD) – Somaliland security forces have launched a major security operation in Hargeisa last 24 hours.

Police officers could be seen at Hargeisa’s main road intersections, searching the public and their vehicles.

The large-scale police security operation has put a strain on traffic and drivers could be seen wasting lots of time at intersections.

Usually when the security forces launch a major security operation in Hargeisa, there are credible threats of planned acts aimed at disrupting security.

Meanwhile, the Somaliland Police Force and other security agencies have not yet commented on the scale-up operation launched in Hargeisa.
