Hargeisa (SD) – The President of the Republic of Somaliland, Muse Bihi Abdi, accompanied by the Vice President of Somaliland, Abdirahman Abdullahi Ismail (Saylici), held an important meeting at the Presidential Palace with the leadership of Civil Society Organizations in Somaliland.

The meeting discussed how civil society organizations can play a role in promoting local and regional elections, as well as jointly implementing the country’s goals and objectives in electoral matters, and the role of youth and women in participating in the elections and promoting media knowledge.

For their part, the leadership of Civil Society Organizations in Somaliland expressed their commitment to assist and deliver on the country’s development plans.

At the end of the conference, the President of the Republic of Somaliland, commended the Civil Society Organizations for their efforts in the development of the country, and highlighted the importance of strengthening civil society cooperation, and stressed the need to increase social engagement in the country.
