Hargeisa (SD) – The President of the Republic of Somaliland Muse Bihi Abdi, received a high-level delegation from Kenya last night.
The Kenyan delegation consisted of MPs, politicians, Investors, and other key members, according to a statement from Somaliland President’s spokesperson.
The president and the Kenyan delegation discussed in depth the historical relationship between the two countries and how Somaliland is ready to cooperate with other countries in the Horn of Africa in general and in particular Kenya, which Somaliland has a lot in common with.
The President noted the developments in the region, which included the dialogue between the Republic of Somaliland and Somalia and how Kenya can play an active role as one of the key regional development partner and a member of the Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD).
Kenya’s visit to Somaliland is seen as a pivotal move to show the world that Somaliland is a vital contributor to regional development and peace and is deserving of recognition.
