HARGEISA (SD) – The President of Somaliland, Abdirahman Mohamed Abdillahi Irro, will attend the World Government Summit in Dubai from the 11th to the 13th of this month.
According to the Somaliland Presidency, the summit is attended by leaders from over 30 countries, focusing on global economic development, good governance, and modern technology.
As stated by the Presidential Spokesperson, Hussein Aden Egeh (Dayr), the president will deliver a speech highlighting Somaliland’s achievements, particularly in economic development, governance, and democracy.
“The President will deliver a historic speech about Somaliland’s state-building journey and its democratic progress,” said Hussein Dayr.
This trip marks the President’s second visit to the UAE in a month and a half. During his previous visit, he held meetings with Emirati officials and wealthy companies who pledged investments in Somaliland.
The World Government Summit, established in 2013, is held annually in Dubai and led by the UAE government.
