Hargeisa (SD) – The Somaliland Health Ministry In statement today confirmed the second COVID-19 related death in the country.

Three new people in Somaliland have also been diagnosed with Covid-19 in the country, with a total of 12 cases being reported.

Somaliland COVID-19 cases are deemed very low, compared to other countries in the Horn of Africa.

The authorities are engaged in implementing mitigating steps in controlling the spread of the virus in the country.

Their biggest challenge being enforcing the Kat ban, the mild drug is heavily imported from neighboring Ethiopia.
