Hargeisa (SD) – Somaliland police have arrested again journalist Abdimalik Muse Oldon, a well-known activist for the poor and social media figure
Oldon and other religious clerks have been campaigning recently for the closure of a foreign-owned and funded centers and schools in Somaliland.
Oldon have been alleging that Hargeisa Cultural Center invited same-sex marriage advocates during it famous annual book fairs, and that Abarso School promotes anti-Islamic cultures.
The Somaliland government has strongly opposed Oldon’s allegations, and officials at the Hargeisa Cultural Center, and some of Somaliland’s most prominent poets have dismissed Oldon’s allegations.
A video posted on social media shows Oldon being detained by a group of Somaliland police officers in Burao. Various governments in Somaliland have repeatedly detained the extremist journalist.
Somaliland security forces have not yet commented on as to why Oldon was arrested by police in Burao.
