Mogadishu (SD) – A suicide bomber blew himself up and other innocent by standers near the Jubba Interchange in the Somali capital Mogadishu this afternoon.

According to police and witnesses, at least two people were killed and five others were injured in the blast, which was carried out by a suicide bomber.

The suicide bomber targeted a restaurant at the intersection, which is frequented by Somali government forces.

Two of the dead were members of the Somali security forces, according to a police officer at the scene.

No group has yet claimed responsibility for the deadly attack.
Somali government security officials have not commented on the recent explosion in Mogadishu.
